Beatriz has over 13 years of professional experience and skills related to influencing social change and sustainable development by combining creative approaches in communication, storytelling, marketing, and audio visual production.
She holds a Master of Arts in Visual Anthropology from Goldsmiths, University of London and graduated in Sociology from Andres Bello Catholic University, Venezuela.
Beatriz has dedicated her work to promoting impact-oriented interventions and sharing stories that focus on capacity building for at-risk populations, encouraging involvement and promoting wellbeing in Latin America.
Beatriz is the co-founder of Foco Sustentable, Centro Lyra, and Automatico Films, organizations focused on promoting sustainable development in Venezuela and Latin America, and has held positions with non-governmental organizations and academic institutions in Venezuela and the US, such as, Voices For Children Foundation in Miami, SOCSAL, WATANIBA, Research Center for Economical Sciences and Andres Bello Catholic University in Venezuela. She has consulted for Inter-American Development Bank, Andres Bello Catholic University, Ashoka, BBVA Bank, Kraft Foods, Cargill, PepsiCo, Empresas Polar, Plumrose, among others.
Beatriz is passionate about bringing to life stories that portray journeys of individuals and communities in search of a more equal and harmonious coexistence. She believes in the power of offering counter narratives, connecting on an individual level highlighting the poetic and artistic side of what we often take for granted, and helping cultivate a sense of wellbeing amongst the stories protagonists.
